but not too bold updates & march's recommended book
Hello again,
Thanks to everyone who has read and/or reviewed BUT NOT TOO BOLD so far! I never expected so many people would take something out of this strange little story, but I’m’ glad it seems to have resonated with some of you. Here are some things that happened in March related to my novella:
An interview with Locus Magazine;
Reactor review;
Some curiosities about the novella on Mary Robinette Kowal’s My Favorite Bit;
A book club event with the lovely folks of A Seat at the Table (a physical and online bookstore that you should definitely check out!)
Other than that, I just finished the final edits of a new work, and the announcement will come out soon—probably in April 👀. So, yeah, hopefully in the next newsletter I’ll be able to share it here.
See you next month,
Hache 🕷️
PS. Please consider supporting some of the organizations trying to help the genocide victims in Gaza, like The Refaat Alareer Camp and Dahnoun Mutual Aid, and tents, cash and medical aid for South Gaza and North and Central Gaza.
Things You May Find Hidden in My Ear: Poems from Gaza 🇵🇸
(Mosab Abu Toha, 2022)
Poetry might be the most difficult kind of art to rate or describe, to me—usually, I either feel it or I don’t, and Mosab Abu Toha’s poetry debut made me feel immensely, both for the harrowing memories of horrific destruction and loss, and for the beauty of its verses.
